Tech Block is a patented wall construction unit composed of water, cement, recycled polystyrene foam beads (similar to foam coffee cup material), and oriented strand board (OSB). The combination of the materials results in a wall that is fire resistant, mold resistant, termite resistant, sound resistant, and extremely insulative.  Tech Block is gaining wide acceptance with contractors, architects, builders and homeowners as the premier exterior wall system available today. 

Tech Block has an internal channel design that forms when the blocks are stacked. The result is a hollow grid within the wall. These hollow cavities allow for the easy installation of steel rebar and also act as a form for the grout that is poured in from the top of the wall. (Grout is a type for concrete that uses pea gravel its aggregate ingredient.) 

It is the grout and rebar that gives our wall its incredible strength .

The Tech Block wall system is designed to be stacked with staggered joints and dove-tailed corners which increase the wall strength both during construction and as a finished wall.

The feature that sets Tech Block apart from other wall systems is the 5/8" OSB attachment layer which forms the interior wall surface of the structure when the wall is erected.  Unlike other systems, our walls are immediately ready for drywall installation .    

There is no "furring out" or need to apply lathe to the wall, as with other block walls. Additionally, there is no need for batt insulation, shear panel, housewrap, bracing, backing, foam panels, or wire mesh to install, as with stud walls.  

The exterior of a Tech Block wall is immediately ready for stucco, brick, or stone without the need for wire mesh. With Tech Block, the bond with stucco is cement to cement, which is the strongest you can get. The rough surface that we designed into the exterior side of Tech Block acts as a perfect scratch coat for stucco.  

These many features make the Tech Block Wall System the best choice for a wide variety of residential and commercial applications it is inexpensive and easy to erect, and will continue to significantly reduce utility bills each month and save energy for the life of the structure.

Tech Block Physical Data : Standard blocks are 10 and 5/8" thick x 16" tall x 48" long.  The standard block weighs 85 pounds and corner blocks weigh 65 pounds.
